The Under Glass is free to read. It is paid for by affiliate commissions: when you follow some of our links and buy something, the store pays us a share of the sale. The price you pay is the same either way.
The programs we are part of
This list only names programs that have approved us and that we currently link to:
- Amazon Associates — Supplies such as penny sleeves, toploaders, semi-rigid holders, graded-card sleeves, storage boxes and display cases, linked to their Amazon.com listings.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When we join another program, it is added here before any link to it appears on the site.
How to recognise a paid link
- Links that can earn us money go through our own address first — theunderglass.com/go/… — and then on to the store. That short hop is how we count clicks; it does not change the price.
- Those links carry
rel="sponsored", the web’s standard marker for a paid link. - Pages with buy links show a short disclosure next to them that points back to this page.
- Many guides carry no buy links at all. Grading companies and price tools are compared on their merits whether or not we could ever earn from them.
What a commission never decides
Which products and services we cover, what we say about them, and what we recommend are decided before and without regard to whether a link can earn. If the right answer is the cheaper holder, the free tool, or not grading a card at all, that is the answer we give. No company can pay to be included or ranked. Prices
Where we show a price next to a product, it is the store’s listed price as last recorded by us and it can change at any time. The store’s own page is always the price that counts.
